8.00 am Friday 8th April at Llangollen Wharf   Karen Sinclair AM, Ian Lucas MP and the Mayor of Llangollen on the bow deck shortly before departure.
There is no truth in the allegation that we were moved on for illegal parking! Glas y Dorlan (foreground) departs Llangollen Wharf, followed by Millie The Mayor and Mayoress of Llangollen with District Governor Colin James and Rotarian Gwynne Belton on the foredeck as Millie leaves Llangollen Wharf
First stop Trevor Basin at 10.00 am . . . . . . where we were joined by more passengers . . . . . . the Mayor of Llangollen left us and we were joined by the Mayor and Mayoress of Wrexham
Glorious sunshine (on a bitterly cold day) just prior to Millie crossing . . . . . . the spectacular Froncysyllte Aqueduct which crosses the River Dee at great height . . . . . . and in 2005 is celebrating the bi-centenary of its opening.
Jim Davies of Cadbury's (in yellow coat) at Trevor Basin, waiting to load cocoa beans on Millie for delivery to Bournville The Mayor and Mayoress of Wrexham on the bow of Millie as she starts across Froncysyllte Aqueduct, preceded by Glas y Dorlan Peter Lockley takes the tiller as we leave Trevor Basin
President Michael often tells us of "When I was out at 6.30 am with my dog . . ." Our initial crew, L to R: Gwynne Belton (Galley Slave); Lyn Williams (Master of Locks and Wind-up Bridges) and Peter Lockley (Skipper). Colin Loughlin of the Canal Boat Trust (photographer) is out of picture.

Windsor Castle dominates the skyline Robert enjoying a day on the Thames Heather, with a representative of the Rotary Club of Holmes Chapel, who kindly sponsored her day out,and crew members Barbara and Pat.
Rotarians Barbara and Pat - facing the day with a smile Mike's bike - he was disgruntled that this was not being used, though it proved useful for the crew in Staffordshire AND was used for two (short) leisure rides. Lizzy and James, carers, who joined us as a team and did a sterling job helping with the locks
Four happy passengers . . . . . . with some of the crew, who also enjoyed themselves Such a relaxing means of travel!
